Mother's Voice

Mom's Voice 1: "Small Classes, Big Learning Opportunities"

Class: Kindergarten
Name: Nathan
Age: 4 / Starting age: 3
Duration: 1 year 2 months

Question 1: What does Nathan look forward to each day when he comes to Kitty?

Nathan always looks forward to seeing all of his friends. He really enjoys playing with Hiroto, Taichi and the other students in his class. He also gets excited for music practice and play time.

Question 2: What does Nathan enjoy doing most at Kitty?

Outside time is one of his favorite parts of the day. He likes playing English games at the park and also exploring nature. He also likes singing songs and doing actions. Being lunch leader is another of his favorite activities.

Question 3: What has Nathan improved on the most at Kitty?

Nathan has become much more disciplined since beginning at Kitty. He does a much better job of recognizing authority and listening to instructions. He has also become much better at expressing himself in English.

Question 4: What is your favorite thing about Kitty?

I appreciate the small, focused classes. They allow for a lot of interaction between students and teachers. The school is also good training for elementary school and the expectations Japanese schools will have for Nathan.

Mom's Voice 2: "Yeah, I did it!"

Class: Kids International Class
Name: Ryohei
Age: 2 / Starting age: 1
Duration: 12 months
(Ryohei's older brother started Kitty Club when he was 2 and half.)

It was his first time to be away from his parents, and he wasn't talking yet. At around 3 and half years old, we traveled overseas.
He would say, "Pink grapes please!" and "Thank you!!" while we were abroad.
I was so surprised! I was really shocked that my kids did this by themselves, without any help.

My younger son started Kitty Club from about 1 year old, around the time he learned to walk. Now, my younger son has progressed at English even faster than my older son!

His listening skills have surpassed his brother’s. They really enjoy singing the "ABC Song" and "5 Little Monkeys" together.

Mom's Voice 3: "They were so kind and loving!"

Class: Kids International Class
Name: Ryota Age: 2
Starting age: 2 Duration: 2 months

・Why is your child in an English class?
My child often plays with children who are half Japanese, and I wanted there to be no language barrier between him and his friends. I wanted my son to have the opportunity to learn English, because I didn't. I hope that he can have a lot of fun learning English.

・Kitty Club Advantages
Throughout the 2 hour lesson, it's non-stop fun and education! There's no time wasted, and the kids are constantly doing something. The native and Japanese teachers are a great duo, making the class evenly balanced.

・Progress
At home, he often sings English songs he has learned in class. Before that, he only sang Christmas songs all year round!

When he comes home after class, he always tells me how much fun he had, and how much he enjoyed it. Even after the first trial lesson, when we returned home he tried to put his shoes on himself.

At first it was hard to leave him because he would constantly cry. However, after a few lessons he'd smile and wave at me saying "Mama, bye-bye!" I was relieved because I knew that eventually he would enjoy the class. Soon we switched him from diapers to underwear and he felt like a big boy. He used to cry for hours at home. Now he's really comfortable going to class and has a lot of fun.

I'm really glad he's enjoying it.

・Advice for prospective mothers
The Kids International Class is not killing only 2 birds with one stone, but 3!!! He really gained a lot more interest in English since there were other kids around him doing the same thing. It also gives us mom's a nice 2 hour break.

After class, he always ran out with a big smile and is so happy to see me. I'm happy to see that he enjoyed his lesson. When a student cries, the teacher really comforts the child and also knows when to leave them alone. Even when kids are crying or screaming, the Native teacher would focus on teaching.

They were so nice and caring. It's great!!
